At the Irene Hoeve a variety of cheeses can be tasted

Made from raw milk

Ingredients: chili, basil, garlic, oregano, paprika

Made from pasturised milk

Ingredients: pasturised milk

Cheese Tasting


While tasting our cheeses, you will come across a lot of different types of cheese. There are more cheeses than shown on screen, so if you would like to taste them, come and visit. The cheese tasting is always open when the store is open so if you like eating and trying out different types of cheese come fast and try them all!

Made from goat milk

These cheeses are has been smoked on oak wood for 45 minutes, thus giving it a specific smoky flavour.

Made from raw milk

Ingredients: garlic, parsley, onion, curry, pepper

Allergens: mustard, coriander, sulphite

Expiration dates

Cheeses cannot survive for eternity. All cheeses have different experiation dates depending on if it is refrigerated or not, and even if its open or not. 

While refrigerated and closed, cheeses can survive for 6 months, and if opened, 3 weeks.

While not refrigerated and closed,

cheeses can survive for 4 weeks, 

and if opened put it as fast as possible in a refrigerator.

Traveling with Cheese

If you want to bring your cheese home, a lot of people need to bring it with them on an airplane. If you're bringing a cheese on a aircraft, make sure your cheese is closed, because the wax layer that we put on our cheese counts as a vacuumed layer. And cheese is allowed in your suitcase and hand luggage.
